Este alojamiento de 5 estrellas, ganador de un premio Gold Award, ha recibido estupendas críticas en la prensa nacional y se dice que llegó a alojar a Shakespeare. Ofrece platos recién hechos, conexión Wi-Fi gratis y aparcamiento gratuito.

Dispone de habitaciones de lujo, un salón acogedor con una chimenea grande y TV y un comedor elegante con chimenea. El establecimiento también cuenta con jardines delanteros y traseros.

Todas las habitaciones tienen bañera o ducha con chorros de hidromasaje y algunas cuentan con ambos. En algunos casos, también disponen de bañera de hidromasaje. Las camas son cómodas y disponen de una ropa de cama de lujo.

El Shakespeare House se encuentra en Grendon Underwood, a 20 minutos de Óxford. Se trata de un edificio restaurado y protegido de grado II, con 500 años de antigüedad. En su momento fue una posada y es de estilo isabelino y tudor.

  Lovely peolple, Superb room, very tasty breakfast, great to go back to a time of values eg Honesty bar, prepared to knock you up a supper if required. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend it to others

  It was such a beautiful place to stay. I was welcomed at my car by the lovely owner. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was beautiful, I felt totally spoilt. I didn't want to leave. Just wonderful.

  Amazing house, excellent breakfast, outstanding facilities in the Barn (guests can help themselves to fresh juices, nespresso coffee, Fortnum & Mason tea and have them in the spacious and impressively decorated living room). Lovely location: hidden in a quiet village, but close to Bicester if you feel like shopping.

  Private bathroom doesn't mean en-suite which I was not completely comfortable with, but it was OK after all.

  Ben who runs the place was so gracious, helpful, kind. His ongoing efforts to make us as comfortable as possible, wonderful cooking, and general congeniality were highly appreciated, in fact they saved the day.

  I have mobility issues and the crazy layout was quite a shock. There was no mention this is not appropriate place for anyone with a disability. We moved to the only semi-accessible room which had a bathroom down the hall in a somewhat public area with a toiled seat that was unattached. Additionally they have a cat that was everywhere and I have allergies. The owners never bothered to contact us even though they were there for the second day of our stay.

  A very unique property with lots and lots of character. Beautifully furnished to a high standard and the food was excellent.

  It's a beautifully restored house. The interior design is very good. Rooms and bathrooms very nice indeed. Staff member Ben is an asset, very pleasant and very helpful. Delicious breakfast! We enjoyed our very short stay!

  It would have been nice to have an evening meal there, we had to walk to a pub which was nice but as soon as you step out onto the path your back in reality ie: busy road unattractive houses!. The lovely bathroom was accross the landing which was fine for us as we had expected it from reading other reviews, but it is not very clear in the information. If it dosn't say ensuite it isn'T.

  Service was excellent. Guest House is extremely well decorated. We had the Theseus Room at the top of the house. Room was small, but adequate. It had a spa tub.....HOWEVER, The tub, sink, toilet were on the landing outside the room and directly across from another room. Would recommend another room.

  We stayed for one night and were afforded fantastic hospitality. Our room was small but had everything that we needed and was very comfortable. The house ouses history, is expertly furnished and is great if you want to enjoy something a little different. Leave room for the full English breakfast as it is superb.

  The manager, Ben, was the perfect host - friendly attentive and provided excellent service. The breakfast was delicious - freshly cooked to order. We were given a free upgrade to the Titania Bower, which was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was very good quality and modern with all extra toiletries. The whole setting was full of character.

  Everything was perfect, but, as a personal preference, we like a blanket rather than duvet, which we find too hot! But then, all places have duvets now so perhaps we shall have to travel with our own blanket.

  Breakfast is delicious, fresh ingredients and lots of choices. Bathroom in Oberon room is gorgeous, huge bath. Attention to detail is brilliant: fresh milk for coffee, real coffee, fortnum & Mason teas, lots of books in the room, really comfortable bed, lovely bed linen. Everything is immaculate, perfectly clean, beautifully decorated and lovingly restored. Host/staff very friendly and polite. Nearby outlet shopping village is great - remember to ask for a voucher at the hotel, you get an extra 10% off everything.

  Location is a bit isolated but it's worth making the trip for this place & the shopping. In our room, because of the age/style of the house, our bathroom was not attached, so I felt a little uncomfortable running across the hall at night (there is a bathroom for each room, it's not shared). I'm sure there are rooms en suite though so I would ask. Robes are provided but I didn't like the style, prefer the white fluffy kind.

  This was a great destination. The host was helpful and welcoming, the accommodation was outstanding - tastefully decorated and historically fascinating. It was comfortable and spacious, Breakfast was delicious - scrambled eggs to die for! Certainly more than just a room - a memorable experience!

  You have to get back in the car to get to a pub for dinner. Judging by the wonderful breakfast we had I would strongly suggest you make a reservation for dinner at the guest house.

  It was chic and very stylish. The owners were very welcoming and the food was excellant. Very historical place and that was reflected in the design of the bedrooms. Will definenatly stay again, superb.

  Bathroom was quite small but that was due to the room being very old.

  We liked the welcome, we were met by Ben who we assume is the hotel Manager. He looked after us during our stay. He was most attentive and explained everything hotel facilities in detail. 10 out of 10 !

  We paid the £250 bed and breakfast rate, for that amount of money we expected big fluffy bath towels the towels provided were any but soft and fluffy. A reasonable size tv in the room or a second tv near to the Settee, we were also disappointed that the open fires in the dinning room and lounge were not lit after all our visit was in December, and that the wifi did not work. These points are constructive criticism's that would not stop us visiting again or recommending the hotel to others.

  The house is very attractive inside and out, old and full of character, which means the stairs are narrow and steep and our bedroom and bathroom doors reflected the age of the property. Ben, the young man who looked after us, was very attentive and helpful. There was a good choice for breakfast and it was beautifully cooked and presented.

  Although we had a private bathroom, it was outside the bedroom. If staying again, I would select a room which specified an en- suite bathroom.

  We went to stay at the bed and breakfast for my mums birthday, and it was quite honestly the most incredible experience. Neither of us has ever been attended to so brilliantly in any calibre of hotel and have literally not one negative thing to say. Nothing is too much trouble for them and Ben the person who looks after everyone is probably the most pleasant person iv ever met. The decor and modern/ traditional interior is warm and welcoming and the food is amazing!!! I have never written a review before but this place deserves it! If you don't stay here you are making a huge mistake.

  The hospitality was great. Room were cosy, typical British cottage style interior design. Breakfast was great. Will definitely recommend for those who intend to go shopping at Bicester Shopping Village.

  the only convenient way to get to Shakespeare House is by driving. The bathtub, had a difficult time trying hard not to wet the carpet when showering. :)

  This was our honeymoon night and were weren't disappointed.The house is really beautifully renovated and welcoming. We were greeted warmly by Ben and immediately felt welcome and comfortable. Our room, although the basic one, was just delightful. Ben had made us a bespoke evening supper exactly as we had planned and breakfast was delicious.

  We booked a last minute stay at Shakesphere House when we arrived we were upgraded to the barn - it was pure luxury, so stylish, spotless, huge bedroom. There was no-one else staying in the barn therefore had the run of the place, large reception/dining room, fully equipped kitchen. The breakfast was gorgeous lovely homemade brown bread and jams. The staff was so helpful and informative about the area. We walked down to the Swan bar and had a lovely Thai meal. Would highly recommend this guest house and cannot wait to visit Shakesphere house again.

  We were made to feel very welcome from the start of our stay until the end of it. Our room was located in the separate barn conversion and both the room and the barn were extremely comfortable and we had use of the very large sitting area. The food was excellent and the menus for both breakfast and dinner had been well thought through and everything was freshly cooked. We will certainly go back again and would not hesitate to recommend Shakespeare House to others.

  There was nothing we didn't like.

  Had an excellent stay! I would definateley recommend Shakespeare House Guest House to family and friends. The only problem was we wished we could have stayed longer.
