Le Méridien Lav es el único complejo de 5 estrellas que hay en Split. Situado en Podstrana, 8 km al sur de Split, tiene una playa de 800 metros de largo, jardines paisajísticos y vistas a la ciudad y a las islas cercanas.

20 de agosto de 2011Very good location, not far from Split and the airport, nice beach with pine trees and clear sea, good breakfast. Excellent SPA and gym. We were staying in the Superior room, it was quite big with very comfortable bed and good air-condition.The Marina was superb!
We were staying near the Panoramic elevator which brings the guests to the beach - when it stops, it makes strange noise like knocking. It lasts during all day from 7 a.m till midnight. Sometimes it can be very irrittating. Some waiters are very slow at the breakfast and you can hardly find free table, but we were in the high season (from 2 till 16 August). We spent 2 weeks and on Saturdays the hotel was reserved for wedding and party. It was terrible because the drunken guests were singing under our balcony all night. Except of this it was my best holiday - the weather was super and this is the best hotel in Split, I think

No longer a 5 star hotel. Their reservation desk could not handle the number of check ins and check outs. They need a better procedure. The hotel staff had no idea what was going on. Previous guests complaints/comments were left in the room. Housekeeping thought we had checked in on departure day. Concierge helpful but overrun with a line of guests. They need a better procedure for dealing with luggage for guests checking in and checking out. The system falls down because of the check in problems. Pool/sauna area needs to be cleaned more regularly during the day. Tried to book a spa appointment by email and they responded on the day I was checking out which was too late.

Checking in was appalling. Arrived at 12, had to wait in line for 1 hour at the hotel reception desk while harrassed staff tried to deal with to many customers. When I reached the front of the queue I was told my rooms weren't ready-come back in two hours. Came back in two hours, had to stand in line for another 45minutes to be told that only one of the two rooms I'd booked was ready. Staff were obviously trying their best but not the standard of service you'd excpect from a 5 star hotel. Wouldn't go there again

26 de enero de 2011Personally I really like this hotel and we had already been the third or fourth time. We are very satisfied, take into account that we partner and I are professionals in tourism.
Roman baths were not working during our stay, which was not mentioned in any booking.com or over the phone even though I called the hotel three times in order to authorize the card. We were told only on arrival at the reception. This is a big failure if you consider that we came for a weekend of wellness. :-(

very bad organization of full board and half board, they offer us the same menu every day which wasn´t acceptable also the food was very low quality - especially breakfast was very poor definately not for 5 star hotel, for dinner we got once old bread and one day the same dish was with fish the other day the same dish was withouth fish - really crazy; I think since there was just a few people they dind´t care much about food quality; also organization of a lot of things was very low - for example New Years Eve was very badly and confusedly organized; people who had just full board didn´t have any chance to see any programme only if they pay extra money for another dinner

For a more private use the hotel is too large and ofcourse needs big conferences. Since we were on our own the sheer size was a "diasadvantage"

6 de octubre de 2011The hotel was located about 30 mins drive from Split airport and the scenery along the way is beautiful. Upon arriving I checked in and was shown to my room. The deluxe room was very spacious with a large bed and all the normal facilities required. There is an internet connection but it is wired access only. The bathroom was excellent with both a bath and stand in shower. Had a bit of trouble with the ac at first but then realised the balcony doors need to be closed for it to work. The best part is definately the view from the balcony directly onto the marina, where you can also watch the sun rise and set. The room service was exceptional and all staff were friendly and organised. The outside pool was a great place to just relax and soak in the sun and enjoy some drinks. Will definately stay here again next time I visit and may even upgrade my room next time to a suite, if they have one! Highly recommended.

21 de septiembre de 2011Good large hotel. Nice open doored indoor pool underneath the gym and beside the smallish outdoor infinity pool. Pleasant veranda to sit with g&t and watch the glorious sunsets. Concierge font of all knowledge and very helpful.
Had to book in advance & pay extra for hotel bus into Split (30 kunas rtn each) as run by outside company. In fact, everything was extra ie. Tennis crts and raquets and balls were soft.

We were let down by our original hotel choice in Split during our honeymoon and the Le Meridien took our booking last minute they surprised us with complimentary champaigne and other assorted items. They also put us in a better situated room for a more private experience. The food at the restaurant was very good. The main plus was indeed the staff.

2 de septiembre de 2011Beautiful 5 star hotel with turly kind staff. Super breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, lot of opportunity to eat different type of food! Silent, cool rooms, however outside was 39 degtrees.
Other people (not hotel guests) can access to the hotel beach, Sometimes it was crowded a little.

La ubicación y las instalaciones. La piscina es impresionante.
No cambiaron las toallas a partir del 2 día , ni repusieron los productos de aseo. No nos parece bien en un hotel de este precio.
